In a car the beaches of Alicante, Benidorm or San Juan are all within a twenty minute drive. For those who seek peace and tranquility, the more obvious attractions of the nearby mountains are easily accessible. Although not essential, a car does broaden the horizons. If required, a hire car can be arranged for you on arrival at the airport. Alternatively, you may make your own arrangements either in this country or at Alicante airport. There is a bus service which runs along the N332 road, also a narrow gauge railway which runs from Alicante to Denia.

Long stretch of sandy beach, very Spanish, best used in the week, not at weekends. Bars & restaurants behind the promenade. Has a lovely harbour.
VILLAJOYOSA (15 mins)
Turn right onto N332, through the tunnel for about 10 mins. Ignore first beach on the right and carry on into the town. Turn right, just after some traffic lights down a narrow street onto the front.
BENIDORM (25 mins)
4 lovely beaches - Cala Finestraat, La Cala, Poniente & Levante. For first 3, go through Villajoyosa and after a mile or two, bear off to the right - signposted Poniente. Turning off to the right first Cala Finistraat and second to La Cala, carry straight on and you come to Poniente. When you get to the bottom of the slope, beach is on the right and if you turn off to run parallel to the road you were on, you can drive along the side of the beach and park anywhere.
